I’m at the San Francisco #RSA Cybersecurity Conference where all the tech security companies demo their new products and share their expertise to customers from all over the globe, this is the biggest security conference. Although I’m just an end user looking to gain knowledge we certainly can’t ignore the daily news of challenges that #CISCOs must constantly battle and cybersecurity attacks personal homes and residences & businesses. But the more I learn the more scared I become about the threats not only of our personal data, but our national security.
Gartner predicts: “By 2025, the consumerization of AI-enabled fraud will fundamentally change enterprise attack surface driving more outsourcing of enterprise trust and focus on security education and awareness.”
Many of you folks in tech use these company security products that are here at this conference but I am amazed how much goes on behind the scene with cyberwarfare, bots, evil creepy stuff that our IT organizations having to battle on top of their normal position! These are clever and unimaginable threats but these cybersecurity products use “sandbox” and other techniques to capture/ trick the threats.
“Nearly half (48.8%) of C-suite and other executives expect the number and size of cyber events targeting their organizations’ accounting and financial data to increase in the year ahead, according to a new Deloitte Center for Controllership poll.” from North Bay Business Journal article
I’m just an end user but I learned about Look-a-Like domains and boy these fake site look legit… from my real estate perspective ( or lenders, brokers, or title companies) anyone who handle sensitive transactions I hope everyone is here to get educated and share that cybersecurity is everyone’s responsibility.
